Ultimate Reset Day 2!

So day 2 of the Ultimate Reset is down in the books and it was amazing, except having to run to the store at 7:45am to buy oatmeal.  My dearest hubby decided to eat it all when he was home for the weekend, forgot to tell me and left the container in the cupboard....with a teaspoon of oatmeal left in it :-/.  For breakfast, if you haven't guessed, I had oatmeal!  I added organic grade B maple syrup, and also had organic vanilla Greek yogurt and a cup of blueberries sprinkled in each item.  It was amazing!!  For lunch I had a Greek salad with a homemade Greek vinaigrette.  The salad had chicken, romaine hearts, kalamata olives, tomatoes, and cucumbers.  And finally dinner!!  Dinner was amazing!!  I had brown rice, corn and bean mixture with an amazing spice assortment mixed in.  I added homemade guacamole and pico, and wrapped it up in a flour tortilla.  For my side I had kale with a pinch of lemon juice and toasted pine nuts!  It was sooooo filling!!  My eating schedule was the same as yesterday, so I was pretty hungry by the time dinner rolled around.  No unusual side effects yet, besides feeling cold last night, but it was a windy, rainy late night for me, since I didn't get home until a little after 1am from work, and the reason why I didn't update my blog last night.

Day 1 of the Ultimate Reset DONE!!

Day 1 of the Ultimate Reset is complete!!  I woke up at 6:50am, took measurements and pictures and took my first round of Oxygenize and Optimize.  I waited 30 minutes and then made my breakfast.  Breakfast consisted of two organic scrambled eggs seasoned with Himalayan salt, two pieces of Ezekiel toast, and a serving of spinach.  This was a pretty normal breakfast for me, but instead of two pieces of toast, I usually eat turkey bacon, or one piece of toast.  I also prepped for my lunch that I had to bring to work, and my dinner that I needed to marinate.  Prep time wasn't too bad, took me about 35 minutes.  The rest of my day was pretty uneventful, I had to take the Oxygenize(about 10 liquid drips) twice more, and the Optimize (2 little pills) twice more and the dreaded packet of Alkalinize.  I was pretty worried to drink this green, wheat-seaweed smelling powder.  I've been on a private Beachbody Ultimate Reset Facebook page for week one resetters, and I've been keeping tabs for two weeks before I started on what people are doing, feeling, prepping food ect.  The majority of the people that are doing the Reset hate the Alkalinize......hate it enough were some people talk about physically getting sick after drinking it, or gagging, spitting it out, ect.  When it became my turn to down the green concoction, I was scared!!  I took the advice of a few party type resetters and actually did it like a shot......2 ounces of green stuff and suck on a lemon after, and honestly?  It wasn't bad at all!  It tasted like I explained in the beginning, grassy, slight seaweed, salty, but not in a bad way.  I also read a lot of people getting headaches on the first day, so far, I've been good!  I'll probably have a slight one tomorrow, but the moderators on the FB site just keep saying to DRINK YOUR WATER!!  I almost drank a gallon of distilled water (with special minerals in it...Himalayan salt)  Taste a little flat, but it's doable.  SOOO for the rest of my meals!  For lunch I had a huge salad with jicama, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, red bell peppers, carrots, basil, and a homemade vinaigrette.  For dinner I had steamed asparagus sprinkled with lemon juice, baby red potatoes. and salmon marinated in olive oil, garlic, lemon and basil.  The only time I was REALLY hungry was before dinner.  I worked a weird shift today, ate my lunch at 12:30 and then dinner wasn't until 8:00pm so it's pretty obvious to see why I was so hungry!!  Tomorrow will be day 2!  Praying I'm lucky and don't get any headaches, I'm off to dry brush and take a warm bath.  One of the side effects is feeling slightly chilled, and I actually do a little.

Awesome weekend!! Starting the Ultimate Reset tomorrow!

This weekend was so amazing!  My hubby came home on Friday night for a quick weekend visit and we had a blast.  It went by so quickly.....and now he's gone again to meet up with the boat to finish the rest of the patrol.  AND this is the perfect time to start the Ultimate Reset!! 


The Ultimate Reset is a three week-3 phase body detox program to rid your body of toxins, help your body with food cravings, energy,and helps your body absorb nutrients better.  This is not your ordinary cleanse or detox, but an inner-body tune up!  There are 3 phases to this program, each phase is a week long.  Reclaim is the first week, and it will reclaim my body.  I'll slowly be removing red meat and dairy which are know to place stress on the digestive system.  Phase 2 is the Release Phase, I'll be releasing toxic compounds that are stored in my tissue, unclogging my cells so they can absorb proper nutrients and I'll be eating a full vegetarian diet.  The final week is Phase 3, called Restore.  This phase will help my metabolism return to maximum efficiency and putting enzymes, pre and probiotics back into my system. 

I will be posting daily blogs to touch base on how I feel and all the great foods that are in this reset.  It's going to be hard to not work out :-(  I can stretch, do some softer yoga and walk 30 minutes a day.  They recommend NOT working out due to the "stress" your body will be going through to rid itself of the toxins that have accumulated due to all the foods we eat that are processed, or hormone-treated, pesticides that are in our fruits and veggies ect.

OHH CANADA......Ultimate Reset talk, Bridge Run and more!!

OKAY.....so I got wicked excited about all of that, really, it's been a great 5 months with Beachbody so far, and the extra income is awesome, but the joy of actually helping people reach their fitness goals is one of the best feelings!!  When my friend and fellow coach Rebecca wanted me to take her pictures for her 60 day Turbo Fire results, she seemed so upset.  Rebecca felt like she hadn't made any progress....her results shocked her, and the look on her face of pure surprise and joy once she saw the before and after pictures actually choked me up!!  Now, I did nothing more than introduce her to Beachbody and Shakeology, it was her PURE DETERMINATION, HER WANT AND DRIVE that got her to day 60 (and going into day 90 strong)  Look at these results!!  AMAZING!!  Whenever you start a new fitness program, it's sooo important to take those measurements and pictures!  The number on the scale can be so deceiving!!  Becca happened to be part of the "60 Sweaty Days of Summer" Challenge, and I still have a few openings for the "Fall into Fitness" challenge starting on October 15th.  LOOK what your body can do in 60 days!!  Do you WANT this?  Message me for details!!


 
Soooo yeah, on to some 10K Columbia Crossing news!!  I finished the race!!  The incline that lasted almost a mile was a B*TCH!!  BUT I didn't stop running, I just kept moving, and probably cursing the whole way up it, knowing that what goes up, must go down...right???  I didn't score the time frame I wanted, but I was only a minute off, I wanted 1 hour 5 minutes.  I came in at 1 hour 6 minutes and 5 seconds.  Not too bad!!  Half the race I was carrying my Iphone and my running jacket!  It was a stunning day, I guess one of the nicest days they've had in some years for the run. 
 





 



 
 
 
 The dude on the stilts actually "ran" the race!!  He finished a little after me.  My amazing friend Jill came to cheer me on, and took a few pictures, sadly she forgot to give me my "prize" for crossing the finish line, so it sits in her fridge (at least I think it still does ;-P )  Until I decide it's time to down it, which will probably be next week LOL. 
 
As you all may or may not know, but now you do...my little sister is coming to visit me this coming week on the 9th!!  I'm BEYOND excited!  I've pushed back the start of my  21 day Ultimate Reset until October 29th, which means I will be doing this during my 36th 25th birthday.  I just got everything in the mail today along with my new Dani Johnson book on personal development within yourself and business.  I will take before and after pictures, and pictures of the food and of course blog daily once I start the reset, and I'm super excited to share this with you all!!
 








 Once I get through the Ultimate Reset I will start 90 days of Turbo Fire and once I hit my 60 days, I will be adding the advanced addition.  I will definitely miss ChaLEAN Extreme and lifting, BUT once I hit my 90 days with Turbo Fire, I'll switch back with CLX and start lifting again.  At least I will still have Chalene in my life for the next 6ish months ;-P, she's so motivating!!
